TB-1599 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I wanted to make sure these TD end caps are ok for Lancer status. These are SC endcaps. It looks like they are slightly concave..
Starwheels Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 They look ok too me as mine look the same as yours the vac pipe will always want too bend inwards if you don't want it too bend as much do what I did & get some plumbing pipe for the inside (that no one can see) & I found it easy to glue the ends & still have them centred in the middle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BikerScout007 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Quoting the CRL for Lancer: "Thermal Detonator end caps to be concave and not flat." The SC ones are flat so they need to be heated and have indents put in them
TB-1599 Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Right I know they have to be concave. To me they look slightly concave. Maybe it's just the reflection of the light. Any particular method for putting the dents in??
Chef Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Most people seem to heat them up gently until they go a bit soft, then press down in the centre of them with some dome shape, maybe a ball or similar. Doesn't need to be a lot. So go steady. Less is more.

khazara Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 The pictures don't do it justice, they look fantastic in person!
Chopper Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 I've tried soaking my end caps in boiling water as well as a hair dryer and I'm not getting a whole lot of movement. Did you use a heat gun?
