EDIT: I lost access to the original photos due to photobucketpocalypse. Here's a collage I made showing how I restored and modded the gloves for trooping! 8

I think if they really wanted to step it up they could make the false zipper area look more like there was a zipper there at one time, but overall very good! 2

The problem is my size 12 foot limits my choices a great deal. I went through this finding the proper Indiana Jones boots. It seems like everyone in the world is a size 10! 4

So the first thing I did was hit them with some Fiebing's Leather Color in black to color the suede and polish up the faded parts. After that, I took an Exacto knife and CAREFULLY removed the zippers and straps. Ready to troop! 1

Especially since the palms and fingers were so faded. Removing the zippers and straps was pretty easy but I took my time with the Exacto knife. It's not like I could just grab another pair if something went wrong! 1
