Quick clip sizing

Does anyone know the exact size for the QuickClips used on the drop boxes. I see people use 1" and also 1.5".

1.5" is the correct size. 1" is way too small.

Are these standard side release buckles or something special?

They are a standard size. You should be able to find them at Jo Ann's, Michaels, or Tandy Leather.
