Hello Everyone,

 

First I would like to thank my wife MaAnn, Sarah, Shaun, Mickey, Scout Team Six, Girl Scout Troopers, MonCal, and all the great people I met here on Pathfinders Detachment for all their help, patience, and guidance. This will be my third costume in the 501st Legion.

 

Looking forward to getting your feedback and hopefully the opportunity to apply for Lancer.

Armor = MonCal Version 3.0. Revamped “V†belt detail by me.

 

Balaclava = Amazon (Fast Mile Multipurpose Balaclava Face Mask and Neck Tube)

 

Boots = Amazon (Kingshow Men’s 1510 Work Boots – Size 12 D(M) Wheat 1510). Modified by me.

 

Codpiece = Fabric from Fabrics R Us (San Jose, CA). Created by me.

 

Cummerbund = Fabric from Fabrics R Us (San Jose, CA). Created by my wife.

 

Flightsuit = Amazon (RedKap Men’s Twill Action Back Coverall – Size 54). Modified by me. Black pig suede came from Tandy Leather . com

 

Gloves = WampaWear

 

Helmet = CB (Shaun’s previous TB Helmet)

 

Hold Out Blaster = DVH Props (Pathfinders Detachment)

 

Mic System = UKSWrath’s Stand Alone System (501^st Legion)

Vest = Fabric from Fabrics R Us (San Jose, CA). My wife and I worked together on the vest using the Star Wars Costume Book as reference.

Very nice! For Lancer you wanna shorten the vest sleeves and maybe tighten them up maybe starighten the back and cheat up. That's all I can see right now.

The pouches seem a little to big. And your butt flap looks to long. Looking good though

Maybe it's just me but the thigh boxes look a little small and need to hang down a little lower. but nice build brother.

Box size is correct. SC boxes are over sized

Thank you everyone for the feedback and compliments! Today I was approved and received my TB-61872. I will start the minor fixes and with your blessings start my Lancer application.

 

I also had the opportunity to attend a TB workshop today here at Shaun's place. I have my homework now to prepare for the next level.

2017 CRL states:

" Pouch Size to conform to individual size; should fit in gap between chest armor and belt with minimal overhang. "

 

 

Question: If we alter the down the pouches (i.e. half inch or a full inch), they will look smaller and showing gaps between my chest plate and belt. Can we get a Lancer or staff officer to advise us? We need your expertise before moving forward. Thank you so much!

Congratulations on your approval - as a newbie contemplating the idea of going 'all in' and building / buying my own kit, these posts are very informative and encouraging .... though my wife and wallet may not agree
