TB-1599 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Is the tank or "hump" permanently attached to the back armor? I like to hide my MP 3 player and small speaker back there for my TB loop. But if it's supposed to be permanent, I need to change my rig up a little.
Eyeslave Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Not necessarily. Apparently it was attached with a strap. I have seen some good ways to do it here. I will post a link if i can find it. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=16060
BikerScout007 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 In the film the tank was attached with a strap so that it could be easily removed. Most of us rivet the tank to the back armor permanently but it is not a requirement. As long as it looks correct with one rivet on the top and bottom of the tank, you can do it any way that works for you
stasz Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 I can't remember who's build thread it was in, but someone put a little trap door in the back armor so he could keep stuff in the hump. Wallet and such. I had thought about doing something similar with a Camel Back water bag once upon a time... But no, as stated it's not a requirement that it's permanently attached, but it IS a requirement that it's a separate piece from the back armor. 2
Bubonos Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 You want a speaker in on your hump, is that what I understand? Maybe this will help. I keep my Mic speaker in my hump and run the wire under my armor, into my balaclava. The speaker is even amplified inside the hump, so I have to get a wrangler to adjust the volume at times. I just cut a hole in my back and used the extra pads from my SC bucket for padding. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J120A using Tapatalk
