Lax69 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Hi yesterday was my first trooping and everything start well till the moment i realize my shoulders armor was moving all the time. I use already velcro but not strong enough. Other parts of armor is ok with it. Any tips ? Thanks for your help
Eyeslave Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 On the armor use industrial strength velcro. It sticks very well under stress. Make sure the under arm strap is reasonably tight. If your using 12mm elastic straps i find Velcro of the same width on the end isn't enough. Sew something wider for the velcro Joining. For shoulder top attachment i just updated to the ziptie method. Seems to work ok. It usually takes a few troops to work out the problems of any costume anyway. 2
Chopper Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Has anyone tried sewing velcro tabs onto the flak vest sleeves?
BikerScout007 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I do it like in the film. Those guys knew what they were doing! Zipties "T-strap" between the bell and the shoulder bridge and then a very thin elastic strap inside the bell to hold it to my arm. 1

Retrofire Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Can you post a picture of the inside of your shoulder bell? It might be where your 0.5" strap is located. You might have to move it further down or make it a bit tighter. I rely on that strap to keep my bell in place and it works well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
