TB-1599 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Hello troopers. While I wait for costume pieces to arrive. I had an idea for a custom carbine/sniper I could use for non official events... I just wanted to share some in progress pictures. I don't have access to the cool toys or gear to create things from scratch, so I have to repurpose things I can get my hands on. (In other words this is another Nerf mod LOL) The gun is the new Nerf Alphahawk, this thing just screams sniper. The scope is just a 7.00 scope from Walmart. I just installed a piece of 3/4" PVC I just loosened the screws on the frame put the PVC in and tightened the screws. It clamps down on the PVC perfectly. I added a coupler on the end to act as a flash suppressor. It makes a decent carbine. With the coupler I can add the extension and it makes a pretty cool looking sniper rifle. Now it just needs to be painted... Thoughts, Constructive crit. Quote
Retrofire Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 That looks great! Adam Savag did a great Nerf mod that you can find on You Tube under Tested. There is also a thread here about the mods some of the folks have done. Look forward to seeing some progress on this rifle. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote

TB-1599 Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 it's all Rust-oleum paint. A coat of primer, Where it's all black I did a coat of metallic silver, then Matt Black on top, The silver Cylinder has a coat of black with the silver on top. Quote
