TB-1599
From what I can gather when it comes to colors for SW blasters. It's generally all black. No high lights of silver or gray, No wood grain. (I know there are a couple of exceptions to that). Is this the general consensus?
Stroker
Well it depends on what blaster. Most can be lightly weathered. Some semi gloss and satin in color. It comes down to the costumes and what blaster you have. Also your GML.
TB-1599
I am just throwing together a custom Nerf blaster for my Scout. Nothing official at all...
Stroker
My go to is satin. However I do like the effect I get with gloss and super fine steal wool. Gives it a true metal look.
stasz
I used a metallic aluminum primer and then satin black on my blaster with the thought that as it gets natural dings and doinks, the metallic would show through in a "realistic" way. So far so good. [edit] I have a HitG resin blaster.
Forest Ranger
I prefer the satin finish with the tastefully weathered look.
Chunk
I paint all my blasters with 4-5 coats of silver & 2-3 coats of flat/satin black. Then i use an extra fine sandpaper & litely sand the entire blaster, hitting the edges & corners a lil harder than the rest. I get a nice "weathered" look every time.
