I guess you mean the cap?! Really nice one. I like the colour.

But the gloves are ......where did you find them :)

Really? I thought he meant the T-Shirt 😜

But seriously, nice catch bro. Those are really interesting because they deviate in a lot of smaller details from the screen-used ones. I wonder if they were a re-run of the originals. But hey, very cool nevertheless!

It was the cap, but nice try!

I didn't know that they were any different! What do you notice as being different?

Well, I don't want you to feel bad about the purchase because they're still pretty close and look great. The main differences I spotted were

- the shape of the thumb leather. Also it's missing the stitched 'V' on the thumb

- the 4 ribs are a bit further apart from each other than on the originals

- the fabric inside is black instead of red

IMO they're definitively legit just differ in a few details.

Gotcha. I didn't know the originals had the red liner!

These do have the stitched v...I'll take some detail pics later!

Had a build day with my ART today and took a few pics of my progress thus far.

None of my strapping on my arm armor is glued yet, so a few of the straps are all jacked up in the pics, as are the position of the biceps and shoulders...but it's feeling good!

TD is missing as well, still working on that.

Not too far to go now.

Wow, absolutely stunning! This is one hell of a build, buddy!

Thanks! I couldn't help putting everything on with the new helmet. It does wonders for the overall look

Thanks for posting that pic Shaun! I was starting to get worried that my TD tube was too long but it looks about the same as yours.

That's absolutely unbelievably beautiful!

Can I ask you how you chose to attach the drop-box straps on the front of the belt?

Is there even a consensus on what's accurate in that regard?

I assume the originals were just one long piece of fabric wrapped all the way around and attached at the back.

Mine are just very simply glued on the inside. Hope that makes sense. :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Well, now that I've been approved for Lancer I should call it quits right?

Wrong! I've got a round of tweaks being made already.

I'll post them as I go. :)

Re-did my zip ties...

This way is more "prop accurate" though it's still debated whether the zip ties are looped or not. You can clearly see that the Scout on the speeder bike next to Luke has his looped, but others are not.

This holds amazingly well.

The bridge fabric is elastic and is glued over the bridge seams, but they don't loop around all the way. The anchor is hot glued on top of where the elastic ends.
