Toshi Station Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 So...after having most everything sitting in a box in a corner for a year or more, I finally decided to get off my butt and get to work on this. I have to be honest, I underestimated the amount of detail and specifics that went into this. Challenge accepted. I think things are coming along nicely so far. I am going to have to get new helmet decals as the adhesive from the ones sent with my kit are not sticking. I am guessing from sitting so long in less than ideal conditions. Anyway, here's a few pictures from what I have completed so far. I know there's some rough edges. Will definitely be cleaned up before submission pictures. Excited to get this one done and hopefully going public soon. 2

Toshi Station Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 I know I have some pocket adjustments to make and thread coloring to do on the fatigues. Made a little more progress today.
Toshi Station Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 A little more progress today. That backpack is not a fun day at all. LOL 1
Retrofire Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Tanks are notorious for giving troubles. It's looking good just hang in there and use your fellow Kashyyyk Scouts as a sounding board. Ferra and Grumpy are top notch and they have a lot of great knowledge. Looking forward to seeing this completed and your pre-approval pics! 1
ferra Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Before applying dirt(colors) to your weathering may I suggest improving the metallic scratches? With a thin brush draw a very thin black line around the metal paint. This will create an illusion of depth and that metal was beneath a layer of black primer: In good truth I actually start with the black and THEN paint the metal leaving the small line of black(but you already have the metal on it so... ):
Toshi Station Posted July 9, 2017 Author Posted July 9, 2017 Excellent....Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I cannot see the reference pictures you posted.
Toshi Station Posted July 9, 2017 Author Posted July 9, 2017 Almost there.....final strapping, pouch attachments, and finishing touches and I should be good to go. 1
