White vs Off white pouches and straps

I know both are acceptable, but I was just curious what people like better. White or off white? I did white pouches, but I'm almost considering switching over to off white. Just wanted to hear people's thoughts.

I originally had white/white but after a series of unfortunate events I needed new pouches and decided to go off white.

 

I personally like it better just to break up the colors a bit.

I have one with off white and one with white pouches. I think I like the off white pouches better though because it adds more realism to me... Who can actually keep cloth stark white in the forest?? Not me. Has to have a little ageing to it lol.

Ultimately, it's personal preference. Whatever you like. I've seen both that look great. I have off white but it was just because I found a pair of pouches for sale. If I had to sew them too, it would have been all white.

The originals were all white but tea stained and weathered once the Death Star bit was filmed. Making them out of natural coloured canvas is the easy way to get a similar effect.

 

I'm actually in the process of redoing my pouches, but I think I'll try doing them in white and seeing how they look tea stained.

Can you mix off white pouches without having off white straps? It is it all or none?

If you're doing off white pouches, you really should be doing off white belt webbing (not the wide stuff that holds up the belt, the 1.5" hip box webbing).
