mjhenks
Joined some time ago and back looking. Aside from the obvious jump suit, gloves and shoes, what obstacles will i face building armor that my son and I can both wear? I am 6' 5" and he is about 11" shorter. Would like a Scout for myself but something he can wear when i am Vader. Thanks
Retrofire
That's a tough one and it really depends on your body types. Since the armor is custom fit for you. What I mean is that the items like the belt and chest/back armor are trimmed to fit your waist and chest. One other issue you may have is the spacing between the boots and knee armor since that's were your height differences will come in. I would say that the height difference there would be really apparent and the tops of the boots would touch the knees when your son is wearing it. That being said if your waist and chest sizes are comparable then all you would need is an additional set of boots for when he is in the armor. A good suggestion here is to reach out to your local Garrison and see if there is a scout about your size who will let you try on the armor. You can visit with your son and get a feel for how it would work building it to your frame and check the fit on his. Stroker
Yes you can make it happen. You'll have to make it more adjustable than it already is. Meaning the elastic will more than likely have to be tighter on him than you. The bridge gap will be small on him,the chest and back connection will be smaller. It's totally doable. Just requires a bit more work.
BikerScout007
You may have to make different connection points on the interior of your armor pieces for the elastic so he can make it smaller for him when he puts it on. If you get creative with it, it should not be a problem! You are here in Southern California, so I encourage you to join the local ART where we can help you locally. Look us up on Facebook at "Scout Team Six".
