Just one question to start off. In the middle of my Lancer build and can not find the answer on the CRL, so hopefully you wonderful people can help.

Where the belt connects from the fabric to the plastic, is it standard to do this with a rivet? And is it just one rivet in the center. I have seen it done by others, but want to make sure this is the proper and preferred method.

Thanks for your help!

It's in there, but it's buried.

- The TD box must be secured by one single black tie wrap, to the tubing as seen above. The TD box and tubing is then secured to the belt however a trooper wishes, the main belt is then closed/secured using a velcro over lap much like a TK, with two black twin armed brackets holding each end of the tube to the belt (close to see whats on screen). With a 50mm (2") white cotton or nylon belt secured each end of the hard belt with a single silver rivet. Blinking lights or LED's on the belt canister box are not acceptable.

One rivet connects the belt to the fabric on each side.

Thank you Kayelbe. I thought I had seen pictures. I was looking off of the 501st CRL site and could not find it. Should have looked in the Lancer section.

I also glued mine so there wouldn't be too much tension on the rivet. I didn't want to take the chance of the fabric pulling away at the rivet.

I agree. I sewed velcro on the ends of the belt straps and connected it to either side of the belt boxes to act as a strain relief on the rivet. I didn't realize how much stress you can put on it when trooping and of course sitting (sorry TK's:).
