FLTodd Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 UPDATED: 2/18/17 _______________I've decided to purchase from Steven Walker on Facebook and I'll be getting the Tokyo Laundry shirt modified at a later date as a backup.________________ Is anyone making progress on an undersuit? I know Jim offers one that is close to accurate. I know Sister Margaret will be offering some more accuracy ones in another month or two. Is that it? I picked up two of the Dissident brand ripple stitch crew neck shirts in charcoal from Tokyo Laundry. They came in today and they look good. I'm hoping to find a seamstress that can use one for parts. Needs to attach a neck seal and align the vertical ribbing on the chest of the undershirt. Add mesh as applicable. Right now I'm trying to find a neck seal with a zipper. Any ideas? I've considered the DIY approach using cellular tube weather strips.
ScaryGuy Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Imperial Supply Depot on Facebook is offering shoretrooper neck seals with the vertical ribbing. According the CRL the neck seal does not need to be sewn on to the shirt so you can use it separately with the dissident shirt. Not an immediate concern but something to think about if you want to go after that in the future.
FLTodd Posted January 24, 2017 Author Posted January 24, 2017 This is a link to the neck seal order form https://goo.gl/forms/7OM6t3zpxAvbhKOD2 Thank You! This is exactly what I was looking for. One thing to note, down the road when we get lvl 2 going the next seal will be required to be sewn onto your shirt. Not an immediate concern but something to think about if you want to go after that in the future. I'll for sure want to continue getting approval at lvl 2. My hope is that I can sew the neck seal to the Dissident shirt to stay accurate. All this until a better solution comes along I guess.

The edge of the vertical ribs is hidden by the armor and shoulder straps so you can't tell the difference when wearing it. I prefer a separate neckseal, makes it easer to use different ribbed shirts with the same neckseal.

The goal of lvl 2 is going to be replica's of the movie suits. Some things like your neck seal idea may be passable, or it may not. We will see and discuss sometime after we've all had time to digest the bluray.
JG-7734 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Does anyone know if the imperialboots top has made this change/adjustment yet? Or if any of the vendors have for that matter...?
TK8271 Rogue Trooper Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 One of my things on my list to confirm was wether the neck seal was attached or seperate. I was given conflicting information so I asked Glyn Dillon and again he was fanstastic and answered. The neck seal is seperate with a bib 1
