Just ordered my Altamann

Recommended Posts

Hello and welcome! Glad you went with Altmann's. I did as well and it's really nice. The armor and helmet itself, at least for me, was a perfect fit and didn't need much to make it 501st approved. Check out my build thread as it'll show you what I did and how I did it.

Feel free to start your own thread once you get it and there are a ton of people on here that will help you through your journey, as they did with me.

Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Hey Jacked! Welcome aboard.

I'm in the same boat you are in as far as being new to this stuff goes. I placed my order last week for my Altmann's!

Seems there are a lot of good vendors here that can get you what you need if you cant do it yourself.

Do you have your armor as of yet or you still looking where to get it ..??

If you don't have a look here -----> http://www.studiocre...morforsale.html

I have his kit & love it

do you have any curved scissors as tamiya craft tools make some

You will also need to get some zapagap glue & some small files to sand some small areas that you need too cut out

Hey Riley, I too ordered a helmet from Altmann. Just wondering if you received it yet? My order was placed on Jan 1st and I haven't gotten it yet. I'm trying to be patient, but 7-8 weeks has turned into almost 3 months.

It appears as though armor goes out in waves instead of a customer to customer basis. My stuff shipped at the 10 week mark and is over the big blue ocean right now.

Interesting.. he pushed my ship date back once. Said one of my pieces broke on him. I'm not a prop maker so I can't claim to know all that goes into it. The wait is a long time though.

I have an Altmann and the wait is worth it - I think I was quoted 6 weeks and it arrived in 8.

To put it in perspective, have a look on FISD: quoted times for TK makers tend to be in the 9+ month range, while Anovus is getting a reputation for continually pushing back shipping dates
