Hello everyone my names Jim and I'm new on here.

Recently signed upto the UKG forum and it was suggested to me to also sign up on here as I am looking to finally start on some Scout Trooper armour.

I have been a Star Wars fan ever since my farther sat me down one Christmas to watch A New Hope when i was very young. I have admired the 501st charity work from afar for a long time and now decided to take the plunge and hope to troop with the 501st very soon.

I'm sure ill be PM'ing alot of you with silly questions very shortly but first i need to buy my armour and seem to be very confused by the vendors out there and there good and not so good feedback they all seem to have.

I haven't got loads of cash to splash about so when I buy some armour/ soft gear I want it to be good stuff as I probably wont be able to afford to buy it twice. I'm not looking for cheap armour/ soft gear I'm looking for something I wont need to replace (anytime soon) or need loads of work done to it (in case I miss up big style and need to buy more).

I have heard good and bad about KS and SC can anyone give me a hand pointing me in the right direction please?

Thank you

Welcome to 501st Pathfinders, Jim!

SC armor and KS helmet is a good combo! Since you are in the UK you also have Chef as a great choice too. Please take a look at our forums, read, learn and ask questions. Once you have hit 5 posts, the trade forums will open to you

Thanks

I messaged Chef yesterday on the UKG forum as I noticed alot of people had contacted him regarding armour. I just dont want to be to much of a nuisance as I'm sure people that have been trooping a long time see new people coming on asking the same questions again and again and nothing coming of it.

Have been going through some of the threads and finding some good info to help me.

Thank again and look forward to meetng soe of you guys in the very near future

Welcome Jim! Questions are always welcome and that's what we're here for. Better to ask a question than make an expensive mistake. Best to you on your build and look forward to seeing your progress!
