BikerScoutAlexx Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Hello newbie here! Got a set of SC armor but no helmet, not sure if I should get a SC helmet or are there better options. Whats your thoughts? Thanks !
Bobik96 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 If I didn't already have a helmet, i would go with the Altmans. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=13442 1
BikerScout007 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 They get a bad rep and deservedly so, but I think KS makes a good trooping bucket. It's proportions are closer to the screen used one, it's light ABS and it's not expensive. It does need a bit to make it look accurate, but it is a good start and better, IMHO, than the SC or MLC.
Bugz Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Did I miss the thread on the needed KS fixes? I can't see anything on it?..... NVR mind, it just appeared pinned.... I hate my phone sometimes
BikerScout007 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Off the top of my head: Visor bolts need to be changed Decals need to be changed Snout needs to be changed Mesh needs to be removed from earholes and the inside needs to be blackened with paint or gaffers tape The plastic trim they add to the bottom needs to be removed
Bugz Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Excellent, and this is from the get go? Or those are just Lancer fixes?

Bugz Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 I can't afford to be the BEST I can be, just more like a knockoff lol
rdraider Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Forgive my newbie-ness, but why not buy the kits from SC or KS and fix the issues from the get go? Are they hard to fit together?
