Anyone making a one-piece belt?

Recommended Posts

...other than MC? I'm aware of his extended prep time.

I currently have the 3-piece SC version.

Any other armorers making a one-piece design?

You can check with Spike in the trade forum. I plan on mixing up some ABS paste and using that to fill in the gaps. A little sanding and a coat of paint will make it look "seemless". That might be an option for you if you don't wish to buy a new belt.

Actually everyone does EXCEPT SC. The problem is that SC is the easiest armor to get so most people have it.

But as Peter said, you can just fill in the gap to give the appearance of a one piece and that is fine for Lancer

Yeah, I agree the fill route is a way to go, but my OCD won't let it happen, especially if there are alternatives. :)

As I'm easing back into the biker scout costuming world, I'm not readily familiar with who else is out there besides SC and MC.

So if anyone wants to PM me with suggestions, I'm open with that.

Hey,

I am currently considering the Acetone / Slurry solution as well and have spoke to Chef about it. I plan on bonding the belt with a bout a 1 inch overlap (Acetone only) then filling the gap with the slurry. Then sand and buff... I will do pictures. Hope it works out for all of us.... LOL

Anyone know the distance from box to box on the belt?

I just saw some pictures of test pulls of some of the WTF scout armor, and he IS doing a one piece belt. He's not taking orders yet, but he's done ala carte parts for his other kits. Belt looks good, too
