Riding patch question

I have my cummerbund being made. I have my jumpsuit and suede on hand. Should I wait on sewing my riding patches onto my suit to see what is covered by the cummerbund or go ahead and get the attached?

The only spot you would be concerned with is at the crotch. The cod covers the top of the riding patches only at that spot.
