netslave
Paint Scheme varies slightly. The Captain has a blue section on the left side. Looks as though the entire ab section is one piece with a backplate covering the opening in back. It's been debated as to whether it's 3 pieces (plus back piece). Paint Chipping in the groove where some think the ab and sides are separate. This pic makes it look as though it was all molded as one piece. The backplate looks to be held on by snaps. Should be hidden from view anyway.
Dekard
Wow. I was worried how warped Jim's backplate was but looks legit.
bone
I am amazed, too, because I was one those, who insisted on it being separate ...
TheDon
I believe the TD back plate is constructed like the FOTK setup.

Obey Wann
Wow. I was worried how warped Jim's backplate was but looks legit. I wondered about that, also. Good find!
