The pants are a jodphur-style pant made from a brown duck cloth/canvas material. Here's a close up of the pants with a sample (off color) duck cloth.

I've decided to make my own. I've not found one out there that satisfies my need for "as close to screen accurate as possible", need.

 

I have found that the German, of course, WWII Elite M32 Black Wool Breeches Dress Pants are a very close match to the photos taken of the ShoreTroopers on display.

 

So I just ordered a pair, then I'll be ripping them apart to make a pattern from them, and then make my own. The ones I ordered don't come in the color or material I'd like. So... I'll have to do it myself.

I see that imperial boots is now offering pants, but they have a velcro closure at the ankle that goes up about half way up to the knee, is this ok for a level 1 approval?

Their pants will be fine for a level 1 approval as long as they fit the wearer properly.

sounds good. Right now they are running a package deal discount of $200 for pants gloves and boots, which seems like a good deal.

Has anyone posted a pattern for the pants? or who makes level 2 pants? I've decided that shoretrooper will be my build to get into 501st and since level 2 is getting out there. I would rather make my build for level 2.

What weight would you use for the canvas? I'm considering buying the untreated duck cloth and dyeing it myself.

I found this sewing pattern, https://butterick.mccall.com/b6340 I am gonna make some pants out of. Seen some other guys use it to make there pants out of. With great results.

Seems this isn't available anymore... anybody still have a decent pattern?
