PGHFETT as most of you know sent me the molds to make the BARC helmets. I know alot of you have emailed me asking about getting one.Due to an illness that put me down for about a month and a half I am currently playing catch up on other items. So that being said I will be doing a run of BARC helmets but it wont be for a few weeks.Im not going to do a intrest list or anything like that what im going to do is make up a few at a time box em up and first come first serve.

So if you email me and Pm me and asking about getting a helmet kit and I dont respond its nothing personal.

Once the helmets become available for shipment Ill answer all emails and Pms that pertain to the current run. Thanks

Hey Jason, I saw that you were selling a kit on eBay, any chance that these will be available through members here, or do we have to bid on them? Just asking...

Yeah, I'm gonna have to ask him about this as well. It may be an extra helmet he had lying around the shop. I was told he was going to do a run when he gets caught up with other things. This might be the only helmet he had in the shop at the moment.

The helmet on ebay is my personal one .The only reason I didnt offer it here was because there is only 1 and I know several people on here who want one...hence doing a run of them.

As for the original helmet its the same mold Mike used for the few he did before I got the molds.

I know this isnt what is being said but Im not holding out on people for these and nor do I owe anyone here or elsewhere one.I just dont want people misunderstanding comments like"Im glad I got mine when you were making them".I know thats not what Ghst915 was saying but I want to make sure others understand.

Also I was down and out for about a month and a half so Im currently playing catch up with other things and to further pile on work at this point would be a bad move on my part.

I have a family and a full time job and am an avid MMA fighter which training takes up alot of my time.

So If I was a consumer of an item I would much rather buy and item thats done and in hand than to send someone(me) paypal and have to wait a month to get it.

I guess what im spouting about is I know you guys want these and I want to make them for you but I just cant do it the second someone asks me to.Later

Also Mike and I talked And these are MY molds so emailing Mike isnt going to do anything for you.Sorry to sound a bit brash but Mike sent these to me because he didnt want or have anymore intrest in making them.

And I dont have to make helmets for anyone.I started this thread to let people know what the status was on these and it seems like no one even read what I wrote cause Mike and I both have gotten more emails and PMs than before.

This isnt directed at everyone but a few people on here have been pretty pushy through emails to me.I can def. tell those people being like that isnt going to entice me to make these any faster.

I think people should realize that people like Mike and Jason are hobbyists as we all are with the same limitations on freetime and real life obligations.

When stuff is available they will anounce it as they've stated

Bugging people will only result in people getting fed up doing stuff for the costumer.

I guess that is not what we want to see happen.

I think we can't complain about lack of transparency as we got informed about the situation which is actually more than we can expect from private persons.

I know myself that it can be a pain to bear with the impatience and desire to aquire something but we have to control ourselves and think before we do something that we regret once people really contributing to this hobby are scared away by foolish behaviour. We can't claim anything from these people but we can be thankfull and act respecfully for what they do for us.

Thats diffentally not was saying your right. I just wanted to comment that I got one when Mike was making them to say I got one of the first helmets he made and was lucky enough to get one. Im very sure your making the same quality work as Mike did. Its still just cool to have one of the first helmets made. Best of luck with making more and its great your gonna to make more for others.

Oh I know thats not what you meant...I just wanted to make it clear to everyone that I have not taken any money from anyone for these and am tired of certain people acting like they have paid and are now annoyed that I havent produced the helmet for them.

madphisto Thanks for the post ..Just to clarify though Im not directing this at the whole community but a certain few which will remain nameless.

Mike and I both think its cool people want these and both of us being collectors ourselves understand the "gotta get one" feeling you get when you see a new prop you want. But just understand this is supposed to be fun for botht the buyers and the makers and when it becomes stressful it puts a damper on both ends.

I hope I didn't come off as pushy. That wasn't my intentions, I just didn't wanna miss my oppurtunity to get such an awsomely designed and made Barc Trooper bucket.

PEACE, LOVE, DEATH METAL AND THE EMPIRE !!!! \M/

That's the problem with armor and buckets...there are so few people out there that actually do the really hard work of building these things and doing a quality job that the demand is really high when work like you fellows come out . I am sure MC and SC and KS and so forth also get so much response for their work and some of the guys out there forget that this is for fun and though we do make a bit of money out of it we should still be given a little more respect and leeway. We share our talents with them and charge a reasonable price for making their characters a reality. We also have to step back when real world issues, ie supporting our families and selves, or maintaining good health, or even taking a little time to make our own costumes and convention or other public venue appearances a reality. I love doing the work and am glad to share my 30 years of experience with the nuevo/psuedo hobbist who does more more spending than spending hours in research and rework to get just the right look. I know not everyone can afford or has the ability to set up a vacutable or work with fiberglass, ABS or the other materials out there or even do the sculpting. I do encourage, where ever possible, that peeps should do as much of their own work as possible and be more respectful of those of us who do have the skills and put ourselves out there to do the work when we can. Those of us with good reps here for turn around time and quality really do like to maintain our high standards of quality work and can't just throw the stuff together.

Hey Skygunbro....I hope that you are feeling much better and hope that you'll soon be back in the saddle having fun at it. My hat is off to you guys who do the hard armor....it ain't easy. I only wish I had the resources to do the stuff you do.

For the rest...the small minority of really impatient hobbiest out there, count to 12 parsecs , repeat until the anxiety goes away and remember...even the Lucas Empire was not built in a day.

I mean as long as the armor isn't finished there is no hurry anyways.

A lot of stuff of the Barc is still waiting for solutions which allows Jason some time to catch up ;)

I'm almost done with the bicept armor and that would conclude all of the upper armor pieces - :) !!!!

Pics will be put up for evaluation and overall acceptance. The knees are done as well so all thats left is figuring out the cod/belt combo and, as you all know, I got something special planned for the boots and shin armor ;)

Git' those soft parts goin' LOL

I want the project done too but I want it done as accurate as possible and that requires time and Madphistos eyes LOL :)

It so close to being assembled, it hurts :)
