Camo confirmed... Hunting for the right jacket now

Recommended Posts

So my hunt for the right undies begin...

The British Army Desert DPM is not hard to find, but what Im worried about is the jacket type... I have seen tons of jackets like the one I found below... but Most jackets I saw here have different collars (like turtleneck with velcros)

Just wanna know am I on the right track and any surplus store suggestions?

Another thing is the riding patch...I wonder where I can source the right material...

Thank you all troopers!

Hey bro, like me you will have to get a seamstress to work on the uniform, removing the buttons and pockets, adding velcro and changing the neck + macking new pockets.

The riding patch you have to look around, I got my fabric on one of those places where they sell the fabrics on rolls(they cut your desired quantity)

No kidding.. So they should do with the mods right? About the riding patch, I have tons of sources of leather, just wondering how thick should they be or are there any patterns on the leather?

This. Look for a matching shirt and trousers that are the same 'make' so they dye evenly, and 100% cotton.

There's no real "pattern" for the riding patch. It's almost like a "see what works when you walk" type of modification... if that makes sense...

And there's no specific thickness for the riding patch. You would probably want a good thin material, so your legs don't look like you got off of a Speeder Bike.

You will probably want to get someone that is good with sewing to help you with these mods.
