Helmet, is it worth it?

Hey Guys, I found this helmet on ebay and was wondering is it good? It costs about $360 total and it's ready to wear. Am I better off using the SC Deluxe helmet kit?

I was just about to say that that looks like a Cucblack helmet. If so, the one from the etsy shop is the same. They are good helmets for people with big heads. I personally don't see anything wrong with the ebay helmet. You may want to inquire of the seller if it is indeed a Cucblack.

I think Mickey's got it. Those deep, sharp indents on the back and the visor and faceplate shape scream Cucblack to me.

 

If I recall correctly it's in the ballpark for what he sold them for.

There is a great selection of trusted biker helms that can be found under the helmet section on this forum. I wear a Altmanns tho many other trusted brands are available. I would stay away from ebay and etsy when shopping for gear .

The one in the top post is one of CB's just a older version. That's his V1 with a flat visor. He corrected it with his V2.

Be very careful, There's a guy selling buckets on ebay that are made out of very heavy fiberglass, The visor bolts are very brittle too.

I really like my KS bucket but I cant wait til my ALT comes in.

I ended up settling on the Alt and just waiting for it to come in. I just ordered the SC armor kit so the Alt helmet will definitely pair nicely with it!

stay well away from Cucblack and all of his aliases. I waited 19 months for mine, and was part of that big topic you see at the top of the forum regading Cucblack's many many many failures.

 

I got a Altmanns and sold it when my CB arrived, its a hair bigger, but the Altmanns was a very nice helmet.
