drache Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Had my first outing with my new armor at NYCC this weekend. Had a great time. Crew from the Empire City Garrison was there - they were awesome. One observation - my cummerbund started out tight - but got looser during the day (from heat and movement) - I felt like most of the afternoon I had to pull it up. Anyone use suspenders / make suspenders with their cummberbund as a solution?
PropReplicator2 Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I use 2 long elastic strings. Another idea could be using thin suspenders from Walmart or something affixed to the inside of your scout chest armor. Alex Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk
Canterbury Tail Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Some put velcro on the inside of their cummerbund and attach it to their flight suit. Not yet finished by uniform but this feels like it should help, especially if you have things in your pouches.

I tried that and it tends to rip off if you carry anything heavy in your Cummberband pockets such as a bulky phone or change:(... Alex
tk1234 Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Sew in two 1" black cotton webbing to the top of the CB. The vest hides the webbing.
StoutScout Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I just added a part to my build thread that shows what I'm doing to prevent the sag. I haven't trooped with this setup yet, but walking around the house it seems to stay put.
Southscout Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I have two pieces of velcro on the front of the vest, and two pieces on the back. The bund stays put without any issues. Skickat från min Nexus 6P via Tapatalk
Dart Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 My 'bund is sewn to my vest. No problems there. I also have a velcro tab that sticks to the inside of the chest armour.
