Redheadmetalhead Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I know the thread title is weird, but I'm looking at getting the ball rolling with my scout trooper and getting it more completed. My biggest problem is helmet choice. I'm a pretty big guy (6ft4in tall, 240lbs) and I've got a large head. Not only that, but I've got a pretty long face (not a horse face like Sarah Jessica Parker). I've read that with the scout trooper, there's not much chin coverage and I'm concerned that my chin will protrude from under the bucket. So, even after a lot of reading, I'm still left with the question: which helmet is right for me? Thanks for any help in advance!
Stroker Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Altmann would be your best bet. I've seen some big,big skulls don the Altmann helmets. I had one and it was roomy. After 5 post you should have access to the trade section of the forum. There you'll find what you need. 2
stasz Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 It's not unheard of for the chin to peek out a touch, especially if you were to open your mouth wide. But with the balaclava on it's very well hidden and blends in with the upturned collar. That being said, Stroker is correct. Altmann's is a great option for you!
bikerscout73 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 CB if you can get one...... I was one of the lucky ones
Redheadmetalhead Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 Awesome, thanks for the help! The rest of my armor is SC. I just have to source the correct sized helmet and figure out boots. I'm sure there's other minor stuff I'm forgetting too, but isn't that part of the fun??
spike Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Altmann will fit a 26inch head, also check out the armour build for larger size, 55 inch chest. 16inch biceps cheers 2

Redheadmetalhead Posted September 18, 2016 Author Posted September 18, 2016 Time to go measure myself again. I measured my torso for the cummerbund, but I don't even know my hat size! 1
