Hey fellow scouts,

I've been doing some research on camo paints and wanted your advice on what you think.

Ok so the CRL states:

  • Krylon khaki tan for the base coat.
  • Panzer Olive green or equivalent.
  • Flat Earth brown.

I've been looking at Krylon like the CRL stated below I have a test of the Krylon products. The Khaki looks perfect for the base coat?

Khaki for the base coat looks pretty good ? what are your thoughts please?

also What do you think about the brown?

Earth Brown and possible green?

I was looking at this product as well the brown looks good (Earth Brown #999)

I was also looking at the green

And I was also looking at rust-oleum camouflage paint

Hope it helps:

Seems like I forgot to leave here the info on the colors I used on the camo and other places:

All of these are Krylon:

So, for the camo I used Krylon Camo Tan(also sprayed the boots to make them look more even with the armor plates) as the base:

Then I used Krylon Camo Brown with the sponge:

And this Krylon Green(it´s shiny but don´t worry about it now):

Then after the weathering done with the Tamyia magic powder(featured in erlier posts) I sealed everything with this Krylon Satin Lacquer:

For the grey stuff I used a lighter primer that this one from Krylon, its a local stuff that's actually pretty decent. This one from Krylon I'm using for prepping the wood on the DC-15s:

And i Also used Black Krylon from the camo line to spray the insides of everything(don´t use this on the belt as it will flake off) and also on the gun itself:

Matte, its all the more important if you use the same green as I did, because it was gloss when everything else was matte. This way you even out every color in the end.

Definitely matte or "flat" colors.

Nothing shiny on the Kashyyyk Trooper except the reflective green helmet lens. B)
