Guest spooky-kid
Do you all planning on getting the same boot style or is each individual gonna have a different set of boots?
TB-7076
The CGI clone boot MK II (as I call it) was modelled after the Jango Fett real life costume boots - model: Kenneth Cole Pitbull Crew. These are out of production and a rare find. So costume-standard wise the boot issue for Barcs will be similar to that of the socuts - quite liberal. It's up to the costumer which road to take with the boots. In case Mike succeeeds making replica boots available for us it would be strange to not use them though . tb2253
I put in a "Want It Now" on the big online auction place for Bedford Stu "Module" and the Kenneth Cole "Pit Crew" boots. I am hoping to get someone to bite and hope they don't ask for too much money. But for the meantime, I will work on my Gemplers Ranger boots. The Bedford Stu "Module". The Kenneth Cole "Pit Crew". Sentinel
http://clonetroopers.net/Forum/index.php?showtopic=4134 Could these be possible choices?
tb2253
http://clonetroopers.net/Forum/index.php?showtopic=4134 Could these be possible choices? Man! I tried looking for those Skecher(GM Forums) shoes online for a whole week and could not find one! I did the same search for used KC Pit Crews and Bedford Stu Modulars and no hits. That's the reason why I just went ahead and got the boots that I found at Gempler's because they're mass produced/readily available and they somewhat resemble the sole of the CGI boots. Death Recon
Those have a good arch and the tread pattern is pretty close, nice find. Most guys just painted theirs
gerald
Thx Recon,i wondered about glueing leather on them so they have that micam trademark pressed on outer side of boot and i think if i just paint it can be more visible even, also that inner side vents can be visible not sure how big coverage of boot give my shin&boot armour,i think i decide when i have my hard parts measured to boot hopefully they arrive soon :)Question about color so i'm kinda lost wchich CRL is in use now clearence lvl 2 need boots to be white+weathering, right? Death Recon
Your toe cap armor is going to cover most of the boot right up to where it starts to bend up, and then a lil bit more than that on the sides. You might have a bit of the different colours shown on the sides though, I don't think the branding stamp will show to clearly but I'm pretty sure the shin armor stops above it so you might have to cover it. be easier if it wasn't a stramp, you could have dremmled it off, might still be able to but i don't know if you're going to do a leather/vinyl wrap then this boot would probably work really well since the soles and arch are pretty good, but then you could always look at a cheaper boot and do the same. Yes Lvl 2 is white with weathering (all pieces need weathering)
gerald
Thx,stamp is not so deep so maybe woulnt be visible but Youre right that upper parts made from material could differ after painting from leather part of boot,so i probably will wrap em,they was bought for that armour purpose,so its ok
Death Recon
Here... just for reference this is how much of the boot is covered by your toe cap
gerald
Mhm thx it seems both vents and fabric part of boots will be visible so i will need wrap em.nice photos will such colour of leather work for wrapping em? http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/7803/v6m5.jpg i know its no "snow white" but i found it similiar to some renders ie those: http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/5600/lwzv.jpg

gerald
Can i get any opinion advice on my shin armour, they are now just on ducktape for measurement,upper/bottom edged will be cut/formed yet, what i wanted ask its,if overall shape of element is ok,my boots wont allow to cut it tighter on down edge :/ on upper edge they are loose but tightening there would give rather odd shape i think, what You say folks? http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/2256/exa8.jpg http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/4337/fzis.jpg
Death Recon
Looks fine, as long as it look relativly good when you join them then its easy to get everything else looking good with bondo or very carefully with a heat gun
