New Riding Patch Templates

My Garrison Mate Todd (Silver Fox) and his wife came up with a new riding patch template for Todd's snow scout. He shared them with me, and I'm sharing them with y'alls.

I'd love to hear some thoughts on these. They're based off what was seen in the SW costume book and to me are much more accurate than what we've had in the past for patch templates.

The pattern looks too low. It should go up closer to the scout's waistline, which here you can see clearly by the band on the suit

He would have to wear his belt way too low to get it to match the Costumes book look:

But heck yeah! Huge improvement. Maybe just an inch or two up

I'm not sure if this was the final placement on his suit, but mainly wanted to share that pic for an idea of how they actually look (going much further out to the front of the thigh than a lot of us have).

Oh definitely! Huge improvement and a needed move in the right direction. The current "Lancer" pattern really only runs down the inside of the thigh and doesn't extend high enough or out far enough on the thigh.

Maybe elongating the upper front would get it more in the ballpark? I'm going to scare up a picture of him fully suited up too...

It seems to me that the sample in the first photo could probably come up an inch or so as well. Where it is, the knee armor would be covering part of it, no?

(Edit: I thought there should be a gap between the top of the knee and the patch, but the costume book pic up there has it covering....nevermind!)
