Lets talk Cod piece - Soft or Hard part ?

It's getting close for me to start on the Cod piece -

 

I think it's a hard piece by the pics I have.

 

What do you guys / gals think ? Also if its a hard armor piece should I incorperate a piece that goes around the waist to support the smallish metal belt as well, almost like a Fett cod piece ?

a stiff soft armor. this would be like the scout cod area, you can see in the movie how it stays in place and folds in the middle when the scouts sit down and pushs back out when they are stand or running. a heavy stablizer sewen in would work for this.

I think that it's a solid cod piece, attached to the lower belt. I also think that the "cumberbund" isn't a cumberbund at all, it's more of a girdle. A stiff fabric that holds the boxes on with help from the two belts.

If it's a soft part, how do you match up the paint job with the armor?

What about a rubber cod piece ? I can do this as a prelude to the shin/shoes.

 

Are you talking about a foam cod perhaps ?

 

If the paint up can match the rest of the armor, I'm open to any considerations.

Nah, its deffo a Fett style hard peice, there are similarities from his armour to most of the clones, kinda makes sense, seeing as they are based on him (boots, well the tread ect) the Biker was a next Gen version, they would have evolved to soft (nappy) armour, based on thier role.

 

I'm going to pull one in abs, sew it to the chest rig and loosely attach it with elastic underneath, well, thats the plan.....
