Hard and expensive lesson learned

So.... before I got approved for BSN, I made aN order from Starfortress without researching on the forums. .. needless to say, I got burned by them in the tune of $450 for their "version" of the jumpsuit, boots and gloves... I got everything in the mail yesterday and nothing was correct, shoddy work would be a compliment. And it says on their site that all "custom" orders cannot be returned. Very expensive lesson learned.

Bummer, sorry you went that direction. We have never had any good reports back on those guys. It is truly worthless stuff.

Yeah hes been pretty much dragged through the mud on the whitearmor and dented helmet forums as well. I didn't expect much from him when it comes to the scout. Sorry to hear you got the bad deal but thanks for posting, hopefully more recruits will see this and stay away from that guy.

That stinks! I'm glad you went with Max and I can reassure you that it will be right or he'll fix it. I love my flight suit and vest he made for me. Thanks for sharing that bit of painful education for the new upcoming scouts.

I ran into a guy once on a troop that was excited to tell me he was building a scout. When he told me Star Fortress was the armor maker, I stopped him and told him it would never pass. He was no longer excited.

Good info. I'm like a sponge right now, trying to learn everything I can before making my first foray into the world of cosplay ANYTHING and this is great info. I jump on any thread titled "Hard Expensive Lesson", lol. Thanks for taking the time to share and help other cadets out.

Sorry to hear that. There should be a thread on here for vetted vendors and 'stay away from' vendors to prevent this going forward.
