Jakeputt Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I am interested in using this medic sigil on my scout build. It would be placed on my left shoulder bell and the left side of my tank. Would I negate passing if I were to do so? I work in Healthcare and medicine means a great deal of who I am, so I wanted to express it in my kit.
Retrofire Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 That's an interesting idea but your kit won't pass with those additions as it wouldn't meet CRL requirements. Here's an idea though that might work. Order an extra shoulder bell from SC and put the medic sigil on it but do not put the sigil on your tank. You can switch out the bells depending on the event and on what your command staff says is ok. There are some allowances for non-canon events but you'll want to check with your garrison CO and/or GML and make sure they ok it before you wear it. 1
BikerScout007 Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 You wouldn't pass basic with that. Just submit your scout according to the current standards and either make a separate shoulder bell or buy a removable band for it. Of course it would be up to your local Garrison when you could wear it.
Nexous Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Yeah, as others have said. If you'd like to get your costume approved you'll have to follow the CRL to minimally meet that standard... afterwards it's totally up to your Garrison as to if you can wear a medic band... personally I don't see a major issue with it as it's fairly harmless, representative of what you are committed to, and is a pretty neutral symbol (not promoting anything hateful or advertisement).
Jakeputt Posted August 22, 2016 Author Posted August 22, 2016 Thank you all for you input! Who would be a good person to talk to or where would be a good place to go to get instruction on making my armor dirty?
BikerScout007 Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Thank you all for you input! Who would be a good person to talk to or where would be a good place to go to get instruction on making my armor dirty? Mist it with black spray paint. Thats how it was done in the film. jabbasdead Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Like the idea of the medic scout! As for weathering, you could do like me, troop for 12+"years and let it bang around an armor tote.
