TINMAN Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Ok......... I'm having a hard time finding the measurements on the side straps securing the front and back at the bottom parts of the armor (mainly the width of the straps) , Also having a very hard time finding the material... Went to Joann's and to hobby lobby and Michaels.. can anyone point me in the right direction for either of these issues?

PropReplicator2 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Thank you sir And I made my straps 1.5" wide by 4" long. Just plain white elastic straps for me.
star-trooper Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Hi guys Wonder if you can help me. I was building my armour based on the old CRL 2015 and it states 50mm (2in) Is this acceptable for the current basic requirements? I have not submitted my entry yet. Can someone advise me what to do now? I an about 90% completed on my TB. Thanks in advance guys.
Retrofire Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 I would just go ahead and use the 2 inch mate. That's what is in the 501st CRL and that's what your GML is going to go from. The Command staff supposedly has plans to get the 501st CRL updated but there has been no movement on that yet. You'll pass basic with the 2 inch and you can easily change it out with the 1.5 inch when/if you go for Lancer. Hope that helps and look forward to seeing some pre approval pics.
Retrofire Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 I forgot to mention that If you need some 1.5inch shoot me a PM and Ill send some extra I have off to you. Cheers!
star-trooper Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Hi Peter Thanks for the quick response and good news. I just got some 1.5in webbing. Thanks for the offer. I was worried I won't get passedit because of the difference of 5mm in the slot in the armour. Thanks once again. Appreciate your help.
Stroker Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Honestly a good GML always go to the detachmemt and look at the crl there. I'm working on completing my Kylo Ren and that's one messed up way behind CRL. It caused mass confusion. 1

Dmorja Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Hey guys question on the Top spacing between the back and chest. Being a larger trooper is there a guideline on how wide that gap can be? (i.e. 2 inch gap or 1.5 or 3 inch gap)
Stroker Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Hey guys question on the Top spacing between the back and chest. Being a larger trooper is there a guideline on how wide that gap can be? (i.e. 2 inch gap or 1.5 or 3 inch gap) I'm sure your talking where the back meets the chest. 1.5" is what you want.
Dmorja Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I'm sure your talking where the back meets the chest. 1.5" is what you want. Yes, at the top of the shoulder where the cloth loop covers, so that gap is to be no more than 1.5 inches?
Stroker Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Yes, at the top of the shoulder where the cloth loop covers, so that gap is to be no more than 1.5 inches? I'm a little over 6'5" and I wear MC armour and I have a little over lap on my armour. You must have SC I had probaly a 1" gap and just used the 1.5" strapping. I mean everybody differs in build. However I don't see you having more than 1.5" gap. Anyway you could post a pic of the problem your having?
