You may have to dye the thumb and finger suede patches black.

Looks like it's not a bad glove according to the reactions. Took off the straps and zippers. Later I will color the suede if necessary ðŸ‘ðŸ¿

Yes coloring the suede is necessary. Those look like original Esprits though! Don't let them out of your sight!

In the SW costumes book the surgeon the gloves is also not black. So how come it has to be black for clearance. Just out of interest. In the movies it's more black, but I thought in the book it would be accurate :)

I'm happy to make it black although it looks kinda cool :)

You're right though, in the book as well as the Magic of Myth exhibit, the suede gloves patches are much lighter - But not the buck skin brown of the gloves as they originally were. My guess would be the dye faded with use and age.

 

They are clearly black on screen and that's what we are after costume-wise.

 

I agree though, that they look really cool the way they are.
