So doing a lot of reading on the forum trying to figure out what works best for the inside of my Altmanns helmet. This wasn't easy . I thought about hard hat liners and motorcycle helmet liners , even military helmet pads . Then it dawned on me as I played hockey for ten years to just trim a hockey helmet liner to fit . For me it looks great and is very comfortable. Just a thought if anyone likes this idea .

I just used a square sheet of foam from the craft store and cut it into blocks and glued them inside. Fits snug without wobbling.

I had a old Hockey helmet so I just used the helmet liner from that and installed it into my Altmanns. The fit is nice and very comfortable.

I used the liner of a hard hat, Velcroing the hard hat outside to the inside of the Altmann- it's worked well for 20-odd troops since June.

I was actually wondering about the best methods to affix helmet liners, so you answered my question before I even asked! Thanks.
