Torm Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 So doing a lot of reading on the forum trying to figure out what works best for the inside of my Altmanns helmet. This wasn't easy . I thought about hard hat liners and motorcycle helmet liners , even military helmet pads . Then it dawned on me as I played hockey for ten years to just trim a hockey helmet liner to fit . For me it looks great and is very comfortable. Just a thought if anyone likes this idea . 2
mmmtoastyboy Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 I just used a square sheet of foam from the craft store and cut it into blocks and glued them inside. Fits snug without wobbling. 2
Stormtrooperbuilder647 Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 i just used sponges for my scout helmet. its a rubies modified so it a smaller fit.
Torm Posted August 25, 2016 Author Posted August 25, 2016 I had a old Hockey helmet so I just used the helmet liner from that and installed it into my Altmanns. The fit is nice and very comfortable.
bloodspawn80 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 any more ideas or testimonies on what you guys used for Altman helm? trying to figure out what worked best for this helm before i get mine. i got a big head so not sure how much room theres gonna be in it but im looking for comfort as well as allowing air flow.
Shada Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I used the liner of a hard hat, Velcroing the hard hat outside to the inside of the Altmann- it's worked well for 20-odd troops since June. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

bloodspawn80 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 anyone got pictures to show the inside of their helm. that might help some people actually being able to see the inside and how it looks like and how it is afixed to the inside of the helm
bloodspawn80 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 also maybe ebay or amazon links to the actual things you bought would be amazingly nice of you
