Erik R Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I normally wear XL gloves with nearly every glove I buy, so when I saw a pair of XL gloves for a good price I jumped on them. They seem just massive. I am of slight figure (skinny dude, 6'0" 155 lbs) so maybe that just accentuates the width of the glove. The length of the fingers are great, it's just that the glove is so wide. The open end is twice the width of my forearm, so when I wear it with no undersuit or armor it has almost no taper into the wrist. I wish I could post pics right now to more accurately convey what I mean. I don't have particularly dainty hands, but I don't have sausage fingers either. With the undersuit underneath it does not look so bad, hopefully with the armor it will look even better. Luckily, the gloves are in perfect condition should I need to sell them and purchase a size smaller. The only issue is I don't know the maker, so if I get a WW Large I might be getting too small. Hey, they never said it was gonna be easy, I guess. Actually, the consensus seems to be that it's definitely not easy. Thanks
Stroker Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Measure you hands. WW is pretty easy when it comes to sizing and the measurements are taken correctly. Their probably SA gloves. They run big and flare a lot I don't really care for them myself. They were my first set of gloves then I upgrade to WW. Anything else you wanna ask feel free to post up or shoot one of us a pm. 2
Oblivian Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Wampas run small/tight. Aim to go a size higher if you are on the upper end of the scale. L was meant to be to 10" from memory, I was around 9.3. Had I gone with that, It'd be a tight fit.
stasz Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I have this pic on hand if it helps. Left is WW large, right is WW Extra Large: The L is definitely more snug, but I like them for the winter... 1
Dao Jones Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 WW is definitely on the snug side. I measured at 8in (which according to their sizing guide is a medium), and while they fit fine there's basically no room to wiggle. As they stretch they'll probably end up feeling perfect, but only just. If you buy from them, I'd agree with others that you should err on the side of slightly larger if you have longer fingers, or come in just on the high side of a fitting range.
Erik R Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 Thanks everybody, I think I'll order a WW. As suggested above, I think the gloves I have are in fact SA, as they're ridiculously wide. They feel like oven mitts. I like my gloves pretty snug, though. However, I cannot stand gloves that are too small. One of my biggest pet peeves is when the area between the thumb and index finger on the glove does not meet that area on your hand. Can't deal with it, don't know why!

Can't deal with it, don't know why! I hear you. And I'll add that the medium WW for me is *just barely* fitting in that category, as well. 1
BikerScout007 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Definitely buy a size up on WW. I bought L and they are tight. 1
Chunk Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Wampa Wear run extremly small. I wear Sith Armor Med & they fit perfect. I had a pair of XL Wama Wear & they were tight, even around my forarm. Currently I belive WW is the only maker of Scout gloves. I would reccomend at least buying 1 size larger. 1
