Dao Jones
Was looking around for alternatives to the traditional Red Kap offering, and saw this on eBay: New Adult SFI 3.2a/1 Certified Single Layer Racing Jumpsuit http://www.ebay.com/...00AAOSwYlJW4yLC Link is to the medium, but they seem to have all sizes from small to XXL. I can't tell if the material is slightly iridescent from the picture, but it otherwise looks like a pretty good option. Has the collar, and only one patch and two epaulets to remove. Plus, it looks like it's a slightly snugger fit than a Red Kap, so less bagginess. And hey - as an added bonus you'll be mildly flame retardant. What do y'all think? Bit more expensive, but a solid alternative?
stasz
Looks like a nice suit! You've hit the nail on the subtraction. Throw down the additions and I think you'll have a solid flightsuit. If you put your belt over the belt line/bunched elastic in the back, it will be sitting where it should and cover that bunchiness up as well.
Greedo10360
Did you end up with this one? Looks good but was curious if the color was right or if it was iridescent.
Erik R
I'm curious too. It says it's made of cotton, but the pics show a bit of sheen. Maybe just lighting.

I ended up buying it and giving it a shot. I liked the idea that the neck was already done. It does not have a sheen in person. Here is my build thread with a few more pictures of it: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=16320 It fits really well and I like that there is cuffing on the wrists and ankles. I'm hoping to have tome time to work on my riding patch template today. Shoot me a PM if you want more photos.

Erik R
I ended up buying it too! I love it, really great suit. The elastic around the back really helps it keep shape, and as Michael said about the cuffs, the elastic there is great too. I'm 6'0", 155 lbs, 40 inch chest. Fits like a glove! The legs could be longer, but I think they're perfect with the Scout's high boots.
3DImpact
Thanks for posting about this - based on your review and other comments here I ended up ordering one just now. I'm just starting on my build and don't even have my armor yet, but you have to start somewhere! Dan

obiwan kowalski
Thanks for giving the heads up on this suit. I just got mine today. I ordered a small and it is the best fitting jumpsuit for me to date.
