I'm trying to make my first scout, so any offers for helmets, chest pieces, anything will be appreciated.

I'll let the pros tackle this one. One thing I can tell you, is at least you're in the right place.

Unfortunately, it's not that easy, as there is no one vendor that sells EVERYTHING you need. (Well I suppose there is one, but everything they sell is not worth having)

Check out the CRL and get an idea for what you are going to need. Then start researching the forums and learn what will be the best approach for you to take. Some folks are craftier than others and feel comfortable building most things from scratch. Some people (me) are terrible at that stuff and have prop makers supply a lot of our gear.

You're gonna have to put many late nights and hours of work into your costume: it's not easy to just find someone who caters for all your Scoutin' needs. Making stuff yourself is easiest, but if you don't have the time, it's a good idea to look around for vendors as BikerScout007 said. Studio Creations does a great set of armour (speaking from experience and it's 501st accurate) and I shopped around all over the EU and USA for other components (See my signature for links - only contains 501st accurate kit). If you're not able to make everything yourself, it does tend to get pricey. But no matter the price, and all the scouts on the forum will agree, it's DEFINITELY worth it!

Altmann's for sure. You'll find those via Spike on the Trade Forum. I opted for the KS helmet. The general shape is okay, but it's details are sketchy. I bought the kit rather than an assembled helmet so I can make the alterations to it easier.

And, technically this is a WTB post, which we do not allow. I appreciate that you're looking for an out of the box solution, but those are hard to find. You can look around the trade forum, contact members via PM, but please refrain from posting WTB threads.

Welcome. A lot of folks tend to think a scout is super easy when in the end their a very difficult trooper. TK's are easier than Scouts. The soft parts tend to be tough! "I can sew now" on top of that were really limited on armor sets.

Research,Reaserch,Reserach!!!! Can say it enough!
