TB-17317
I purchased a 3M Speedglas 9000 Welding Helmet Headband but wasn't sure if the bolts are correct. Are these the 3M bolts people are recommending? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Forest Ranger
Those are indeed correct, however, if you plan on going lancer, you'll need to add that inward curve on the top, which can easily be done by sanding it down, and then painting the correct color. Hope that helps. Check out the bolts on Mickey's RS: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=15122

BikerScout007
Perfect! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thank you for showing off my lid, Cheyenne! Yes it seems 3M has changed their speedglas kit to black bolts with convex tops. You can do exactly what Cheyenne said and it will be all good. Or you can spend some extra $$$ and get this replica kit: http://forum.bikersc...showtopic=10270

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk As long as the outside of the helmet looks correct it really doesn't matter how you arrange the interior

Rickyt
Are the 3m bolts readily available? If so what are the sizes I have to get and would they fit a fiberglass helmet correctly and are they plastic or metal? Sorry for all the questions
Retrofire
Questions are what we are here for so ask away Rick and keep asking them. Yes, there is a member on the trade forum that offers them but you'll need five posts to access that forum. So head out into the forums for some more research and for a few more posts. The bolts are plastic and depending on what type of helmet you have might require a little modification to fit. Take a look about half way down in Cheyenne's (Forest Ranger) build thread here: http://forum.bikersc...ic=14850&st=40. She did some mods to her bolts to make them fit her Altmann's. The necessary mods really depends on what lid you have.
Luis.J.Trevino
Could anyone tell me the exact measures (diameter) of the 3m bolts? Thanks
