jfinch88
I recently received a helmet kit from SC and my question is do I trim the faceplate to line up with the visor??
Tristancraig
I found that when I lines the face plate up to the brim, and glued it into place, starting at the center pout and working your way out... That trimming wasn't necessary once it was set with the glue. Feel free to wait on others input tho. I'm just one case
Stroker
Can you tap the visor to the face plate and give look at it from the front? Something seems off.
jfinch88
I did some re-adjusting, does the visor look too far back or would this placement be acceptable?
Stroker
Now that's looking good. You'll have to play around with the bottom of the visor a bit. Also most SC helmets I've seen look like that around the bottom of the visor where it meets the faceplate.
jfinch88
Still having trouble. When using the pilot holes that were pre-drilled for the kit this is what I'm running into on the Left Side of the helmet; while the right side seems to be lining up fine. Should I trim the face plate to meet with the visor? Being this crafty is new to me so any advise will help. I'd just hate to make such a costly mistake.
