jfinch88 Posted July 6, 2016 Share Posted July 6, 2016 I should be receiving my helmet kit this Thursday 7/7 from SC. I've seen some fan setups but mostly in the Stormtrooper helmet. Pale Rider Posted July 6, 2016 Share Posted July 6, 2016 I put fans in my Scout bucket as I was experiencing some fogging of the lenses. While there isn't as much room in the Scout bucket as the TK it can be done. I had to put the fans hear my temples as that was pretty much the only place I could put them after trying a few different spots. The downside to this is it will decrease your ability to hear things. I can still hear but not as well as I can in my TK. I had to place the battery box at the base of my skull in the very back where the "tube" run around the back. BikerScout007 Posted July 6, 2016 Share Posted July 6, 2016 I'd hold off until you've actually trooped in the helmet. You may find you don't need the fans. They knew what they were doing when they designed this lid for ROTJ. You get really good airflow due to the earholes and the raised portion that goes around the back. Tristancraig Posted July 7, 2016 Share Posted July 7, 2016 I just finished wiring a set of fans for a Boushh helmet Ive done up for my wife. When we ordered the squirrel fans i tried just playing with a set in my helmet, like everyone says - don't waste the time, or cash. No room, lots of flow anyways, and deafening. I trooped a 35+ day last week for 4 hours on a landing strip at an airforce base....
