Which helmet would be best for my build?

Considering an Altman as my hat size is 7 1/2 but my frame is slender - 5'7 130 lbs. would the Altman be too big for the rest of my build? I want to make sure the finished product all looks top notch as far as proportions with helmet to armor/body suit.

 

Also - does anyone have any thoughts on the eFx helmet? I rarely see discussions on it.

Efx helmet is no longer available, and if you do find one they run about 1000$ US

Hi Andrew. I'm 5'8" and I wear an Altmann's. You can see how it looks on my pre-approval thread (http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=15276) if you want to see the whole package together. It's a top notch lid. You might want to also look into the Chef lid too. So many lid choices for us Pathfinders!

From everything I've researched I'd really like to get an RS, but they're not taking orders right now. I've read about the long delays once your order is placed too. I'd be ok with it knowing that going in, but that coupled with them not even taking order atm, not really an option for me.

As far as I know, an eFX Scout lid hasn't seen the light of day yet. Last time I talked to Gino they were still nailing down the prototype.

 

I have the RS lid and it is not small. And yes, it's a long wait

The EFX is also really meant to display. Mostly made of fiberglass it's going to be quite heavy. And considering the resale will spike on them it's probably best to find a more troop friendly lid.

Also at 5'7" you would probably want a lid just a bit smaller than the EFX or RS to troop in.

The Altmann's should be fine for you.
