Belt brackets

I picked up these belt clips from Tandy Leather. Is it necessary to cut out the middle section as seen on other members pics? Per Lancer CRL it only says twin armed brackets are needed.

I'm still building my scout tho I would say for Lancer everything must be as movie accurate as possible. I'm sure another more experienced member will jump in and let you know .

You answered your own question! Yep, the "twin-arm" refers to the two "remaining" pieces after the center is either cut out or otherwise not there.

 

I ordered these. Make sure you get the black ones, so ya don't have to paint them.

I bent the clip to make it an L shape. BTW here's how they look like mounted. I'll cut them out now! Thanks again.
