Helmet Liner Options

Recommended Posts

I tried using the helmet pads first, didn't like the way they fit by my ears (couldn't hear anything!). I went the same route as others and used a hard hat liner. I hot glued the mounting tabs, but am rethinking the attachment method as I have already had to reglue them three times.

I used a HH liner as well and used CA glue to mount the tabs in my Altmann's. Haven't had any issues with it as of yet. Maybe give that a try?

alittle late but I custom fit Foam padding into my helmet. Since I larp I tend to have more then enough open and closed cell foams laying around to do this successfully. of course there are others in my garrison who used Motorcycle helmet liners to great effect as well.

Is there anywhere a place to order accurate hard hat liners, similar to screen used?

Kev (kw designs) has a thread in the trade forum for the real 3M hard hat liner and bolts. Check it out.

The little black pads that came in my sc kit works for me. But I've seen everything from hardhat guts to couch cushion foam.

How long ago did you get your kit? I ordered one about 2 months ago and it didnt come with padding.
