Strider
Today at a Troop we had the opportunity to make comparative shots from different armor and helmet makers. I thought this could help future scouts in making an educated decision and to consider the pro's and con's of each armor/helmet. Reference pictures from Star Wars Costumes book: Comparison of LW / D'chef / MLC Helmets Belts and drop boxes D'chef / MLC / SC Chest armor D'chef / SC / MLC / New maker Back armor and jet pack D'chef / MLC / SC SC / MLC / D'chef

Smiling Fox
Looking at those reference pictures, it's really surprising someone hasn't made the thigh boxes closer to that size.

Strider
cool comparisons. Im curious who this "new maker" is Im really liking the Chest piece shown. Looks closer to the real deal than any ive seen so far. It's a German maker I'm in touch with. He has sent me his new chest armor for evaluation. He is still reworking his current molds but what I've seen so far from pictures he has sent me it looks really promising.

Inklegg
Whats up with the backwards TD greeblies, ribbed collar, and left boot holster in the costume reference pics?
Retrofire
Whats up with the backwards TD greeblies, ribbed collar, and left boot holster in the costume reference pics? I asked about the neck seal with the armourers and command staff and it's acceptable to wear as long as it's underneath your mandarin collar and you are wearing your balaclava as for me in the deserts of New Mexico that's a no-go. If you haven't had the chance head over to the gallery and take a look at the MoM exhibit pictures those are interesting as well.

bugdozer
I would point out that from those armour sets, the Chef belt is the ONLY one with an accurate central V.
