Tank topper question

I've been looking at the knob on some of the other tank toppers and it's on the other side of the hole.

 

Mine came glued on from SC and not sure if I should remove it or keep it in tact.

Mine is an SC and was locked into place, while I think others come as a separate part that can be put anywhere in the slot. As far as I can tell, there's no particular place it must be.

I think that's just the air conditioning slider knob thingy. I've got mine set in the middle since I don't like it too cold.

 

Yup, as long as it's there, somewhere in the slot, you're good.
