DLT-20A 3D Print!

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! Just wanted to show some progress on my new blaster for use with my Mandalorian! A little background on this weapon

The DLT-20A laser rifle was a model of laser rifle produced by BlasTech Industries. Members of the Galactic Empire's Stormtrooper Corps sometimes used DLT-20As instead of their standard issue E-11 blaster rifles. The droid bounty hunter IG-88 sometimes used this model of rifle, and carried one with it when on board the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Executor answering the Sith Lord Darth Vader's summons. Another type of rifle, the pulse cannon, utilized the frame assembly of a DLT-20A.

The weapon is a 3D printed piece from /www.procoprint3d.com, they offer a HUGE selection of blasters and props from different properties.

1. Assembly! I used E6000 crafting adhesive to bind the pieces together. I mounted the scope onto the reciever and glued the pieces of the barrel seperately.

I'll be testing out the toothpaste weathering technique on this prop in preparation for my armor, so i'll be using Rust-Oleum metallic paint and primer followed by a coat of satin black paint.

Painting and weathering complete!

Looking to build up DLT-20A myself. How was dealing with www.procoprint3d.com?

Not bad! The shipment was returned to sender the first time around, something wrong with the description, but it was quickly sent back. Communication was timely. The package didn't end up getting to my house and instead went to my post office, but that was probably a problem with Canada Post and not his problem. Good stuff!
