Help please? Belt and Detonator (How to trim smaller?)

Dear All,

 

I've just received my armor and having issues with the belt & detonator as I am petite my waist is size UK 8/ US 4.

 

I've researched how to trim for the belt for female sizes and I found

Fifetrooper (Riblet15)

 

I am not sure if this method is approved? if it is, kindly please lead me to the tutorial, I can't seem to find it :(

It's a good video, but it really depends on the armour you're purchasing and what the belt looks like. Some kits are single-piece belts, others have several pieces (the SC kit has 3 pieces and is what she used in the video).

 

Your best solution would be to post some photos of your belt pieces and we can assist you from there.

My wife is a size2 & she has a 1pc KS. Im jelous of her because on her there is just a small gap between the hard belt & the ends of her thermal detonator.

I just got mine from KS, so its a 1 piece

Its still in bubble wrap though~

I haven't take a photo yet, I'm bringing it over to a 'workshop' to seek fro help from the other starwars geeks.

I will take close ups tomorrow for you. I gently hit the KS belt with s heat gun from about 2 feet away. Soon as it was soft I placed it around my wife's waist to get the perfect fit.

My belt is small, what do you want pictures of?

 

too make mine smaller I heated up the sides with a heat gun and pressed it down on a flat surface to give it extra curve, then I dunked it in ice water to freeze the shape.
