Tarrif Posted April 18, 2016 Share Posted April 18, 2016 Before I purchased my TK back in September a garrison member kindly pointed out that being 6'3" and 190 lbs, I might want to consider getting the larger AM 2.0 armor as opposed to a regular sized kit. It's made a world of difference. I ordered a magma kit of standard size a few months ago and I don't even fit into it. Is the same true of Scout Trooper armor? I'm ready to purchase a full set of Studio Creations armor and helmet, but before I do I want to make sure there's no known issues with taller scouts, and if there is, what the alternatives might be. Thanks! I also have a size 8 head, which in my experience is fairly big. The Army (and later the NYPD) had to custom order my helmet for me in "jumbo" size. Are any helmets bigger than others? What armor we do have is extremely adjustable to most troopers' builds because it is pretty loose the way it sits on us. You can always make this strap or that strap longer. Geographer Posted April 19, 2016 Share Posted April 19, 2016 Hey Tarrif! I, too, am a taller scout. I'm 6'3" and can confirm that SC armor will fit you well for your height. As far as for your head goes... SC's bucket might not fit you very well. People with smaller heads than I have had trouble fitting into it, and I think our heads are similar sizes. I definitely recommend looking at spike's "barn find" helmet thread in the trade sub-forum. He is selling Altmann helmets and it fits my large head great with lots of room to spare.
