Dalas367
Hello All, I just received my SC armor yesterday. I'm not sure where to begin. Should I start with the bucket first, the armor, boots or the soft parts? This is my first Biker Scout build. I would like to try to go for Lancer status if at all possible. I've been looking at so many threads, and just like building a TK there are so many different methods and techniques that it is hard to decide where to begin. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Retrofire
HI Sal! Yeah there are some many build threads that sometimes it's hard to select just one. Most of us go with Pandatrooper's thread as he has excellent build techniques and is also an accomplished TK/TD builder. It's pinned here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9781. I've worked in my build thread to follow along with his with some variation. My build thread is here if you are interested: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=14946 I think it's great that you are shooting for Lancer and I am as well. Here's the requirements for your armor to meet Lancer status: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=12081 My advice is to read through the threads and build up your confidence and just go for it! You're never alone here when you're building so feel free to jump on and ask questions or for clarifications. I guarantee they'll be someone who will get back to you to give you a hand. I hope this helped a little and best of luck to you with your build!

Stroker
Biker scouts are pretty straight forward. Peter posted some great info you'll find a lot of what you seek there. As for going Lancer do it out the gate. Don't make the mistake of waiting like a few of us have. It makes it all easier. Hey if you have questions please post up or pm. Ask away. That's why we're here.

It makes it SO much easier to build to Lancer spec rather than trying to modify after.
ldal
I know what you mean, it is overwhelming! I would start with hard parts. Once you get them together and start trying things on, you will be able to better measure for your soft parts (the width/height of the cummerbund, the length of the flak vest sleeves, the height of the boots, all taking into account a little extra padding for the layers you'll be wearing, at least that's the way I did it). Just take it day by day, focus on a part and look at as many pictures of that part as you can. I had hundreds of pictures saved on my phone for reference, and finally just cleared them out a few days ago. Also, there are some videos on youtube by Riblet15 that were really helpful for me. I built the belt with her method, as far as the big parachute clip to keep it secure. Good luck!!
